ARCHITECTURE CULTURE AND HISTORY  (II) PROJECT 2 : WEB BOOK 

My Group's Chosen Building : TNB HEADQUATERS BANGSAR

Tasks:

We were grouped in 5 and had to conduct a research to document the architecture on a selected building. Each group will have ONE main selection and TWO alternative selections from the given list.  The group is also highly encouraged to choose their own modern buildings around Klang Valley. The building we chose was TNB HEADQUATERS, BANGSAR. We were asked to research on the building and come out with a report, layout design for web book and also a final web book compilation. 

Learning outcome:

1.     Increase understanding on the principle, ideas and contributing factors of Modern Architecture in Klang Valley

2.     Able to analyse and identify specific architectural features of Modern Architecture in Klang Valley

3.     Able to document architectural heritage in the form of writings, descriptive diagrams and photography

4.     Able to create a web book as a mean to publish academic materials

Digital literacy

In this project, I have learnt a lot about the modernist building, The TNB Headquaters. It was a very interesting experience as we had to so to about six to seven sites because of getting a back up plan as TNB Headquaters is not easy to be accessible but we did not give up and held till the end. We were very grateful that TNB allowed us to go through the entire building as there are 'tour guides' bringing up around from the ground floor to the roof top. I also learned to communicate well with group mates especially when working on site. I am looking forward to more challenges and would love to handle this kind of projects again.
