DESIGN COMMUNICATION PROJECT 1A : SKETCHING

Objectives of Project

1. To understand the notion of space in architecture

2. To develop skills in sketching as a mode of communication

3. To develop skills in visualizing of space through observation and perception of a given site

TASK

1. Engage with the site by experiencing it

2. Record your observation and perception of the spaces and the human habitation of these spaces through free-hand sketches

Submission Requirement

1. Each sketch must be drawn in an A4 landscape size sketch paper

2. Select the best 4 sketches

3. Make it presentable

4. Pasted on an A1 board with your name, group and id.

In this project, I learned to sketch on-site using perspectives. I also improved my on sketching techniques. It was a great adventure into the perspectives drawings as it is very important in the future. Moreover, I also learned how to look at the shadow and hatching techinique, which is crucial in sketching.
