Building Service Project 1

Project 1 – Application of Building Services 
This project requires us to apply building services on our studio 2 final project because it has got all the required spaces like the toilet, living room and others because it is actually a retreat house for our own character. Mine was army. 

Objectives

The objective of this project is as follows:

• To develop students understanding and knowledge of building services systems in design and construction.
  
• To apply appropriate building services system and solution for a specific design.
  
• To demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of applicability of specific building services systems in the
  design in response to practical considerations.
  

To develop students’ ability to resolve issues related to specific building services systems.

The four systems included are 

i)  electrical supply system

ii)  cold water and hot water supply system

iii)  sewerage and sanitary system

iv) drainagesystem 

Reflection

This project has taught me how the main four system works in a building, which we have never tried to apply them in our design. I think this is necessary as it actually affects the arrangement of spaces in the building. I have really learned a lot from this project and has gained a lot of knowledge on the four systems stated above. Moreover, I've also learnt that time management is very important as we have to analyse, cad it out and also gather informations.
